Dear beauties,

Every year, my family and I spend our vacation in Provence. We prefer visiting during late spring or early autumn when the weather is predominantly sunny and there are fewer tourists. We always rent a vacation apartment outside the city, which allows us to enjoy the quiet surroundings and cook for ourselves. One of the things we love about these apartments is that they always reflect the owner’s taste and personality.

Currently, we are traveling to Provence, specifically the Vaucluse province, not too far from Avignon. From 1308 to 1378, Avignon was home to the Avignon Papacy, during which seven successive Popes resided there.

We have rented a two-floor apartment near Cavaillon, and it’s clear that the owner loves cooking and the comfort of home, as we have found an extensive collection of sauces.

Provence is a beautiful region with a diverse climate, so what you wear will depend on the time of year and the specific activities you have planned.

Here are some general guidelines:

Summer: During the summer months (June-August), temperatures can be very hot and dry, so it’s best to wear lightweight and breathable clothing. Loose-fitting cotton or linen clothing is ideal, and you should also bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun.

Spring/Fall: In the spring and fall, temperatures can be cooler and more variable, so it’s a good idea to bring layers. You may want to pack a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings, and again, breathable fabrics are ideal.

Winter: Winter in Provence can be chilly, particularly in the higher elevations. You will want to bring warm layers, including a coat, scarf, and gloves.

In general, the fashion style in Provence is relaxed and casual, so opt for comfortable clothing that you can wear while exploring the region’s many beautiful villages, markets, and outdoor attractions. You may also want to bring comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing.

In addition, Provence apartments often have a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating areas, soft lighting, and an emphasis on relaxation and comfort. The kitchens are typically well-equipped and designed for cooking, with rustic accents like open shelving, exposed beams, and farmhouse sinks.

Overall, Provence apartments are designed to offer a peaceful and comfortable retreat, with a mix of old-world charm and modern amenities.

Blue Provence porcelain typically refers to a type of fine porcelain or china that is decorated with intricate blue designs inspired by the traditional Provencal style. The designs often feature delicate floral motifs, birds, or other natural elements, and are typically rendered in shades of blue ranging from pale, powder blue to deep, indigo blue.

Blue Provence porcelain is often used for special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and other formal events, but it can also be used for everyday dining and entertaining. It is highly valued for its beauty and craftsmanship, and is often considered a collector’s item.

Some of the most famous makers of Blue Provence porcelain include Gien, which has been producing fine porcelain in France since 1821, and Faience de Marseille, which has been creating traditional Provençal ceramics since the 17th century.
